FAQ

Hey, Girl! I Hear You’ve Got Questions…

Okay, I figured it was time to do an FAQ when I was answering a lot of the same questions. 😉 I thought this might help answer some of the common questions readers (and writers) usually have, but if you want to know more feel free to email me. I always love hearing from fans!

I Love Your Books And Want To E-Mail You! How Do I Get In Touch?

AWWW… Thank you! I love hearing from readers! You can use my Contact page to get in touch. I always reply to fans. 🙂

Can I Snail-Mail You Something?

I used to have a PO Box, but then I moved to Texas and now I’m back in Pennsylvania. I will get one again. I mean it’s probably a good idea. It’s just that I haven’t gotten around to it because I procrastinate.

Will You Read My Unpublished Erotica Short Or Novel And Tell Me What You Think?

Currently, I only critique or exchange beta reads with members of the Valley Forge Romance Writers. I highly recommend that you find a writing group or join a local Romance Writers of America chapter or one of their online chapters such as Passionate Ink. I think it’s wonderful that you’re writing, but there are many reasons why I can’t read your unpublished work.

Will You Read My Published Book And Write A Blurb Or A Review For Me?

There are a lot of read to review groups on Goodreads and Facebook that will gladly review your book in exchange for an honest review.

Unfortunately, I make it a policy not to write blurbs for a variety of reasons. One of those reasons is that I don’t want to be put in the uncomfortable position of reading a book and finding that I did not enjoy it enough to write a blurb. It makes for sticky professional and personal relationships. So the reading that I do is strictly for pleasure and my to be read pile is massive!

I Have This Amazing Idea For A Story. I’d Like To Tell You My Bestselling Idea, You Write It, And We’ll Split The Profits.

Ideas are the easy part and it’s hard enough to find the time to write my own!

Will You Do A Guest Post Or Interview On My Blog?

I really prefer short author interviews with no more than ten questions. I really, really love podcasts interviews.

I’d also be happy to do a giveaway to go with your interview. Just use the Contact page and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Can I Get A Free Review Copy Of One Of Your Books?

If you are a reputable book blogger or reviewer then I’d be more than happy to provide you with a digital review copy. Readers can sign-up for my Review Team to receive advance reading copies in exchange for an honest review on Amazon. I appreciate you taking the time to write a review and if you like my book I hope you will post a review on Apple, Barnes and Noble, and Goodreads as well!

If you’re not a reviewer, and are looking for freebies, subscribe to my newsletter for a complimentary copy of the short story Breathe which is part of my Starter Library.

When Is Your Next Book Coming Out?

Subscribe to my newsletter and be the first to hear about new releases and exclusive excerpts, giveaways, and contests that you won’t find anywhere else.

I Did, But When Your Last Book Came Out I Didn’t Get An Email!

It may have been caught by your spam filter. Check your spam folder and make sure you put author@acjames.com or the Mailerlite address in your approved contacts so the newsletter comes through.

I Don’t Have An E-Reader, But Some Of Your Stories Are Only Available As E-Books! I Can’t Read Them. 🙁

Ah, but you can! Just download the Kindle App for free! 🙂 You can read e-books on your smartphone, computer, or tablet as well. Some formats such as short erotica stories don’t meet the length criteria for them to be available in print.

Why can't I find your Ever After Series with your hot vampires anymore?

Anniversary editions are in the works and it's being rebranded with shiny new covers, extended editions, and additional character point of views in third person. Stay tuned!

Does Ever Dark Immortals Series Have To Be Read In Order?

I’d highly recommend starting with Eternal Lover. The Cursed Lover is a prequel that tells character side stories that took place beforehand. I wrote the paranormal erotica prequel just for fun, but it’s not necessary to read it in order to understand the series which tones it down to erotic romance.

Will There Be A Fourth Book In The Ever Dark Immortals Series?

Absolutely! I’m really excited to write Toren’s story and I know you are too.

Have You Ever Thought Of Writing A Story About Victoria? I Really LOVE Her Character.

I do too and I think that she deserves her very own happy ending. I might write a story that features her as a heroine rather than a side-kick in the future.
