So, I’ve been kind of quiet lately. My husband might disagree with that but if you’ve been reading my blog you’ve probably wondered what I’ve been up to.

[Spanks… reaction gifs.]

No, not that. Really.

Okay, the sentiment is pretty much the same.

I went to New York to read Eternal Ever After at Lady Jane’s Salon earlier this month. I wanted to see what it was all about because we don’t have anything like that around here.

We have Dunder Mifflin, the Office <shrug>, and that’s about it. We need to connect our local romance authors with readers. I knew on the drive home from New York that we need a Lady Jane’s Salon. We need a romance reading series right here.

Make it happen, then ask for help became my mantra.

But where? How? And with what money?

I didn’t know how it would come together but we’ve been fortunate to find a venue willing to put up with a bunch of wacky women and serve us wine. A dangerous combination, I know.

Make it happen, then ask for help…

So that’s exactly what I did.

I’ve been lucky to have the help of several members from my local RWA chapter. Our very first Lady Jane’s Salon Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will be Thursday, March 6th.

I won’t bore you with the details. Not when you can read about it here. So if you’re in the tri-state area mark your calendars to come wine and read with us. 😉
